Konica Minolta Enters the Veterinary Market with their Feature Packed ImagePilot CR system PDF

Konica Minolta entered the veterinary market at this year’s SHOWDOWN with their ImagePilot CR system. The ImagePilot brings their experience from the human medical environment to the veterinary market.

ImagePilot CR is designed as an integrated digital imaging acquisition, review, and storage solution specifically for veterinary clinics. The unique features of the ImagePilot software are designed to simplify image acquisition to a single button push using an algorithm that sets bone as the benchmark against which all other tissue densities are calculated. This AutoPilot feature eliminates the need for users to select and define algorithms for each body part.

ImagePilot CR consists of an Imaging Station and a single-bay CR reader, Nano CR Reader. The Imaging Station can support additional client stations for viewing images in different parts of a veterinary office. It has local archiving capabilities and can also send DICOM images for radiologists' diagnostic interpretation or to off-site storage.

According the Steven Eisner, the ImagePilot marketing manager for Konica Minolta, “the ImagePilot changes the rules for what veterinarians will expect from a CR system. Image quality is a given as we are known for our image quality in human medicine. What most differentiates us from the other CR products are our unique software features. Veterinarians shopping for CR systems must understand that our software has unique features to improve workflow, assist technicians, and even facilitate image data management. And with ImagePilot, there is no need for a separate PACS.  These features are very significant.”
